Its important to keep in mind that soybean harvest hits the globe two times a year. While option prices may usually be cheaper in the early winter months, the S Amer harvest may take the markets lower if they have a record harvest. That part of the volatility has less to do with US production but is a part of today's option cost. Just something for the soybean bulls to consider.
