Subject: Has anyone ever plugged the coolant lines to their DEF header?

I had problems twice last year with leaking coolant lines to my DEF tank. Now it’s leaking again. I fixed it with a splice twice last year and now I just want to block it off. It’s not needed. The only time it’s needed is in sub zero temperatures to prevent the DEF from freezing. I won’t even ever need that. Can I block the pressure and return line without any sensors giving me trouble? I’ve already tried warranty but they say it’s not covered. 4 year old machine. WHY do we have to deal with this garbage? Has nothing to do with clean air.
