SW WI | Mine was the return line check valve that screws into injection pump. Fought the problem for 3 years after replacing fuel transfer pump, filter check valve, flexible pump supply line and the o rings on plugs that are on sides and bottom of fuel filter housing. Plus all the return line t fitting rubber seals that mechanic said could leak enough to let air in but not let fuel leak out. I could barely blow backwards thru return line check valve when removed so didn't initially think it was faulty.
