The 51xx 52xx maxxums were the smaller cousins to the magnums. We have a 5250, the 5.9 cummins will pretty much run forever but ours did need a head gasket, external coolant leak it still ran fine. The partial powershift isn't bad but our needed clutches at 7,000hrs which isn't entirely uncommon.
