ecmn | If you can increase your budget a little bit, the John Deere 7400 and 7600 would be a phenomenal fit and they could be found for not terribly out of your budget.
And their price isn't much different than the 50 and 55 series before them. The odds of finding one with lower hours that yep, the purchase price might be higher than your thinking, but you're not going to be spending hopefully as much money in repairs in the first 5 years as an older tractor.
I'm a huge fan of them older John deeres. We have many of them around here that just keep going.
I would also look at the Massey 5400 and 5600 series if You have a dealer in your area.
The dyna4 transmission is top notch. The left hand reverser is still the best in the business.
