It should only have power on one side when the system is off. When pressure is normal and the switch closes, you'll see 12 volts on both sides.
If this electrical system is like the IH tractor, that is incorrect. You can unplug these switches and the system will function properly, you just won't have any protection for the system if you blow a hose or the condenser plugs. The power to the clutch comes from a relay, not through the switches. When power goes through either switch, that trips the relay and cuts power to the clutch. That's how the safety works. That's how the IH tractors work and I think these combines are the same way. I think they use the same parts. |
