I have thought about buying another Ag Leader Compass. The sales guy has me worried that Ag Leader won’t support them and that the are also phasing out the 800 as it’s not in production. He thinks the Ag Leader Go 10 is a good option but it’s a good bit more expensive and the screen might be too big for my tractor.
I personally would go with a used InCommand 800 in this situation (wanting something similar to Compass but don't want to spend the money for an InCommand Go 10). Ag Leader has historically supported products for *long* after they stop selling them, and they *just* stopped selling those. I have mixed feelings about recommending another Compass to you. On one hand, they don't seem to have been as popular as InCommand, and they have not been sold for several years now, and they definitely aren't as capable. But on the other hand, 1) you already have one, and 2) you can get one relatively inexpensively used. They're in the classifieds here on AgTalk pretty often, as well sold in various Facebook groups. |
