New Mexico
850 to 1,000 on those: P 1's and P 2's cost 500 to 600 last week.

NICE set of young cows....really got what I call "Thee Look." Put em on grass up by Greensburg KS.

Tons of ranch cowherds incoming...most everyone is quitting cows ( quite a few of these are fair sized outfits with 200 to 2,500 to many cows ).
These guys are to old to feed em and we're completely dried out.
No winter grass...so even though incoming hay and ddgs are both only $110 per ton, getting em to Spring means the whole BET is that it will rain Next year....since it has Not rained now for 3 back to back seasons...that BET is non sensical.

1st land auction here will be in Nov.....10,000 acres, 4,000 of it irrigated, the rest is grass.
Irrigated will bring $650 to $720...pivots and wells are all good. Grass will bring $180 ( Half of last years price ).

From the 1st auction on...everything around that ( 50,000 acres ) "dominos" so to speak....10,000 acres of that will be pivots too.
