Central ND | Brandt 5200? Do the shear pin couplings align with each other properly so they run true and square with each other??If they don't it will weeble-wobble the pins until they break.
I'm thinking the shear pin is for the auger drive only, same as my 5000. The fan and pto are slip clutch protected on mine so the pins are for the auger.. If the augers folding joints couplings on the auger flighting are spaced too far apart on the auger bearings mountings, or plastic auger guides(like mine have) it will cause troubles and blow pins, IF the flighting is bad it will blow the pins too, Fill the blower with grain too then. The flighting has to catch the next coupling up in a positive connection close together or they will slip over and do what you describe will happen. The couplings point has to be straight and the flat/parrellel/ to one another too, NOT bent back so they can slip over. It is difficult to get the spacing correct since you cannot see in there when its folded out, so you have to lay a straight edge over the auger tube and measure the gap and adjust accordingly so they fit together when folded.
MINE auger got totally bent up to crap and got messed up when a friend I USED TO HAVE decided it was a good idea to vacuum up some 2x4 wood blocks out of another persons grain bin. Of course I got it back all bent up like that.
