Just upgraded to a 2020 R4045 about the same hours from a 2014 R4030 with about the same hours ... I know big jump... But wanted exactapply/direct injection/ and the 120' boom to line up better with planters and top dressing... It was was cheaper to trade than buy the exactapply kit... Everyone complains that they are too heavy...??? To each his own but if you look up the specs Hydro Pump size and Wheel Motor sizes they are a beast compaired to the others... That's the biggest difference I've seen... 1200gal 120' they are just made better for extra weight going bigger... Nice thing is they are usually way cheaper to buy than the mid size say R4038 R4044... Can't see anything that scares me about them... They do have few inches less crop clearance... R4030 down fall is the engine they use (3 turbos in 1700hrs) of use... R4038 is ideal I guess... But I went this route because we already had a R4045 Dry Spreader and Figured it be fine having same parts in case of emergency ect... I really like mine and like power command transmission as well on both... Think you need 2020 or newer to get that... I do know the dry spreader is nose heavy empty so pretty ballanced loaded... And the sprayer feels the same in transport... Seems well ballanced in field...
