SOIL | Skip the G4 and go to the G5.
The 4240 is smaller, like older Command Center sized screen. The 4640 is about the same size as the GS2 and GS3. The smaller is also less capable. It will do AutoTrac, Swath Control with an annual subscription and work fine in your combine or tractor for recording, but not AutoPath or any of the other advanced features.
In the end, unless you got a really good deal for an AutoTrac unlocked unit, go to the G5 instead. Some really neat new features have been introduced for the G5 but not the G4 this year. Also Rumor has it that the G4 will no longer receive updates at the end of this year anyway. | |
