Go to town and get a length of 1/8 rod, and bend it into a 3x3ft frame. Same idea as above but being larger will give you a better count. Count the beans in the 3x3ft square and multiple by 4840 to get your pop. Alternately figure out your minimum acceptable stand and work backwards to figure out how many seeds/plants you need in that square to meet you targets. Simpler to say " I'm happy with a 200k population, so anything over 41seeds in the square is good to go" then it is to count and calculate each time.
