No one uses magnetic north.

On a Deere system, if your first pass aims directly at the geographic North Pole, so will all subsequent passes. With Ag Leader, if your first pass is due north, all subsequent passes will be parallel to it. Deere passes are not parallel, but taper/overlap at the north end (in the northern hemisphere).

Think of a UTM projection (Deere) versus State Plane (AL). Both work, but they are incompatible.

So, to answer your question: The differences start on the second pass...but will start out small.
