Subject: RE: Ag Leader InCommand 1200 NTRIP and connection issues

East Central, Nebraska
well first off ntrip or not your going to fight it with any other modem. i think i would try to use your cell phone for a little bit and see if its better, worse or the same before i spent any more money on other modems. i would also get it figured out before you went to a new go monitor. the incommand can take internet from anywhere and do what your needing it to. the data your moving is so small it doesn't demand much from the provider but you need it to stay connected. if it were mine i would first try a different internet source. when the br1's were new i would often times see a user get lazy and not run a roof antenna and only use the short stick antennas provided. my sprayer does not have a roof mount and gets along fine but i did it right on the tractors and mounted a double shot glass antenna from digifarm on the roof and have never had connection problems unless the provider was down. so as i said if it were me i would maybe try a new antenna before i spent a bunch of money. i would route the antenna in a different direction as i have seen business band radios make a mess of connectivity. maybe you don't have any kind of radio or cb in the cab or don't use it but its always possible that something else is interfering with the antenna. if none of that works then i would try unplugging the br1 and use my cell phone to see what kind of luck i have there, and maybe try out a different internet source, maybe an ipad as the larger the ipad the better the antenna.

one thing i will add that the only one time i have had internet connectivity issues on a br1 and incommand was last year during harvest, i was pulling my hair out one night and ready to throw the monitor out the window when i realized the screw that held the wifi dongle in was loose and i could wiggle the antenna and lose connectivity. i tightened the screw and never had a problem again. its usually not that simple but worth a look.
