Agreed with others, if your wide one direction and narrow the other direction then that is actually good news. I wouldn't expect a loose or poorly mounted SCM in this scenario. To further figure out your issue I would do the following in this order.

- Validate GPS and SCM offset measurements to make sure they are accurate
- Do a track on track test with tractor. Drive a straight line going one direction and mark the center of your hitch on the ground. Turn the tractor around and drive the tractor on same exact line just heading the opposite direction. If the mark on the ground lines up with your marked hitch spot, the tractor is good. If the mark does not line up, enter a GPS left/right offset and repeat the test untill it lines up.
- Once your tractor is fine, then do the same as above except with your planter. If it is off here then you will enter in a planter left/right offset
