Holly Hill, SC | So, removing the monitor did not change your boom folding problem?
Just a guess (I am not a trained technician) I would look carefully at the sensors on the boom that tell the controller where the boom sections are in the fold sequence. (If your monitor works) go under main sprayer button, wrench, readings tab, pull down boom controller and see if the section are reading in/out correctly.
CAN bus terminator, hydraulic boom controller, or bad ground to controller???
Years ago on my 4730 the booms would not unfold correctly and acted strange. It was one of the sensors on the hydraulic cylinder for the outer wing. I learned that I had to have a good sensor on the outer wing but if I cut the wires to the inner fold sensor and permanently shorted these two wire out the boom would unfold twice as fast by having wing and inner fold at the same time. Folding up remained the same as before. (Summary: keep good sensors on the outer cylinders and bad sensors on the inner with the wires going to the machine shorted out) | |
