Subject: Grazing milo PRE frost

Callao, Missouri
I have a couple of fields of double crop milo that I feel won't make grain before frost. I've grazed milo many times after a killing frost, but grazing it now is new to me.

The milo was sidedressed with 80# of N in July. It has not been stressed, other than the cool weather. Nitrates are only a problem under drought conditions, right? The calves will not be eating it whenever it does get cool enough to potentially frost/freeze.

Limited consumption via electric wire.

Any problems with this?
