I don’t have any real suggestions, but I’d concur that that isn’t right. I would expect to rause to 4v, drop down to 1~. Could be 4.5 and 0.5, but they typically try to keep a buffer zone near the extremes. Saddle or scissor? Those 335 were the first with saddle, but maybe scissor was available too. On some of them, the pot rod can be seized. If it was, and it quit detecting movement, it may assume all is good, and finish the calibration.
