Subject: JD 7000 planter issue - need help

Rivers, MB
16 row 7000 JD planter. Front fold.

Problem is that the wings are wanting to fold forward while planting. To the point where the drive shaft disengages that runs the inside 3 planter rows on each side. It does it while planting or driving across the field with the planter out of the ground. The wings will actually fold forward very slowly while sitting as well.

What I find interesting is that the planter straightens out initially when you set it down into field position. It feels like when the planter stops going down, that the wing fold gets some hyd pressure and snaps it back. Is that possible?

I find the hyd system confusing on these planters. I have checked the solenoids that are for the wing fold and they are all getting power according to the screwdriver / magnetic test as described in the manual.

Is there a certain valve I should be looking at? Is there oil bypassing in the boom fold cylinders?

Thanks in advance for any help.
