For those of you with a private base station what service are you using to host it? It sounds like RTK2go used to be the go to service, but I have heard they are no longer reliable. They ran fiber optic internet through our area last year, so now a private base station seems more feasible
I run a Trimble NetR5. Has the NTRIP and Caster, etc all built into it. All hosted by itself just needing an internet connection. I then use RTKonnect, from Back40 Precision, on my antennas.
The RTKonnect can be used standalone, with a internet connection via mobile Hotspot from my cell phone.
Or I can use a free app like "Lefebure NTRIP client" on my phone and Bluetooth to the RTKonnect.
After the initial setup cost, the only fee I would pay would be the cost of mobile hotspot if I choose, as I normally dont subscribe to it. |
