I had a single axle Navistar with a Cummins M11 and a 9 speed I pulled gooseneck with that worked really well. Plenty of power, didn't ride too bad on air ride. Turned lots shorter than extended cab long bed F350.
You'll be pushing the limits on your gooseneck with 2500 gallon tank and totes. In fact you'll be over them. My 24,000 pound trailer wouldn't be enough to haul 20,000+ pounds. About 17,000 puts me at the GVW rating.
