NW Iowa
You can feel the cervix ring. It should be wide open.
If not, what is the position of the calf, need feet coming up in with head toes down
If the calf isn't entered the birth canal sometimes, they won't push.
If the cervix is fully dilated, i would pull it.
Is the sack open?
If not and fully dilated,
I reach in and cut the sack,
lube up, and pull it out.
I've done so many over the yrs i can do it in my sleep,
no matter the position.
Waiting too long is as bad as not waiting long enough.
If you are not comfortable, spend money and call the vet.....
