Western OK | I guess I should have said I wouldn't risk it with milo and grass, because I've always 2 stepped it with milo also. Run roundup with water alone, the run paraquat, atrazine, and dual with fertilizer.
But, I've sprayed a lot of paraquat at night then come first thing in the morning it's still green 8-10hrs later. Spray it in the morning and it's turning black by noon. Spray it in the afternoon it's turning black almost as your leaving the field. If it's a overcast day and cool it's slow also. Sunlight and heat speed it up substantially.
As far as getting paraquat on a person, get some dirt on it. I've got it on my skin several times, while not ideal, if you get some dirt on it then wash it off I've never had any reaction from it. | |
