West Central Iowa | If the umbilical cord dried up. I would think it lived over a day in your location, look at the feet they will be no longer smooth on the bottom if it has walked, if they are hard it has lived longer. See if it has signs of yellow feces if it does it has drank, if no then it probably hasn’t. If it smells oddly bad and looks like it has drank, I would guess clostridium. You can also tell if it was born dead, because often they will have a swollen tongue. That’s just a few ways to get some clues as to what happened. | |
