Marcellus, Mi | From what I've been told China buys very few muscle cuts from the US. Most of what they have been purchasing has been pork offal.
I've heard it increases the value of our hog from 3-10 dollars but don't have any way to confirm it.
My thoughts are if producers are being paid off of lean hogs with a yield near 75% then the packers are picking up the offal sales as a bonus. ???? | |
