West-Central IL | 4440, 1200 gal here. Mine is very similar to paystar.
Use approx 1/3rd of rise water each time and spray out in the last field each time.
Keep in mind that the first rinse is basically full strength until the boom gets pushed empty. If this is a double rate concern I'll dial the GPA back on that first rinse. Then way up for the last two so don't have to drive as far.
Do dump the sump, by opening your fill valve at the bottom. I do this between all 3 rinses.
If I'm switching doing pre's this is basically about it.
Doing post sprays I'll usually pull the filters and hand rinse them. Also i have boom end section clean out valves so I may, on the last rinse, pressurize the boom and open them one at a time to blow it out.
I rarely thow in some commercial cleaner. Called "all clear" between corn and bean post sprays but only sometimes because there may be downtime between those two sprays and it can set in the boom/tank and soak.
Edit:
You mentioned no auto rinse (me neither) so you stop in the field, jump out switch the valves, turn on pump and throttle up from mix station switches, stand back and watch rinse tank gauge.
On mine I have to remember to turn off main sump T handle or pump pulls from bottom tank and rinse tank at the same time and I'd rather be rinsing with only clear water. A 4450 could be different I'm sure they have a procedure.
