ecmn | Had a 6400 pq transmission here. Complaint was harsh clutch in forward when using the pedal.
Not using the clutch, but move lever from neutral to forward or reverse engagement is smooth.
Using clutch pedal in reverse was smooth but forward was harsh.
Took traction clutch valve out and found broken spring and cracked valve.
Since it didn't exactly follow logic or diagnoses I thought this might help someone
