Nice. I've been around just a few mules in my life, but they are a very smart animal. I still remember getting kicked in the rear by a mule named Leroy Brown as a kid. He could jump any barb wire fence and come over to our place when I grained our horse to catch them. He would hear me shake grain bucket and jump over two fences to our place.

I refused to grain him three days in a row. I bent down to pick up a halter off the ground. He nailed me with both rear hoofs, knocked me to the ground. When I went to house, my parents didn't believe me until I pulled pants down and showed proof. Two perfect hoof prints he left on me. His owner was a retired vet, when he passed away. Leroy was sold and I remember seeing pics of him in the Western Horseman magazine. He was in parade at Bishop Mule days he was quite a good saddle mule.
