That's plenty of hay for those mixers. Not saying it won't work but sooner or later I'd bet it won't. Half that amount would make me much more comfortable. Keep auger flighting and reel in good shape help out. It would also depend on how many lbs of other ingredients you are adding. Keep them half full will help alot in my opinion when mixing also
