Subject: Heifers for the freezer

S. Iowa
Newb here. We ended up with two lowline angus heifers my brother had access to. They are around 600 pounds; will go to the locker early November likely around 900 pounds if we can push them there. We just moved them to a small 5 acre pasture with orchard grass, brome, some clover and have a few rounds of last years alfalfa. . I’ve been told we should creep feed some grain on a limited ration - what recommendations do you have? This is for our own/extended family/friends freezers. We have a creep feeder that needs a little tlcz.
