We have both. A rotary rake will rake about anything. Including rocks, brush, and wet hay. If you rake alfalfa to bale as dry hay it will beat the leaves off. Nothing is better for dry alfalfa than a wheel rake.

I don't know about that seems like we got a lot more dirt in our alfalfa when we used a wheel rake. I'll stick with my vermeer just need to rake alfalfa when the dew is almost gone. Their awesome in wet hay too!! |
