The cows will have a positive Johns’s test after vaccine and also a positive tb test I am told. That’s why they don’t use it up here. No one wants a false positive tb test.


Yes you are correct. The Johnes vaccine can cause a false TB test result. It also usually leaves a lump at the injection site that never seems to go away.

I don't know anyone using the Johnes vaccine anymore. I would not recommend it for the reasons stated above. Use Rumensin and follow the prevention protocols.
