The 9th annual Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging & Assessment
competition will be hosted by Michigan State University on November 21st
and 22nd, 2009. We have divisions for undergraduate students, veterinary
students and graduate students. The contest has continued to expand & we
hope to see participants from your school join us this fall! Once again,
we will have guest speakers discussing areas of interest to animal
welfare science on the morning of the 21st.

information you will need to get up to speed on how the contest is run,
what species will be covered, and how to go about entering.
(Entry due date is October 15th). There is an entry blank listed as a
link at the website. Also, there is hotel information at the website.
Because this is a home football game weekend, the hotels will fill up
fast so please confirm your lodging as soon as you are able to. I've
also attached an electronic promotional brochure prepared by the AVMA,
who is a co-sponsor of the competition.
