Wendy ,from the ASPB was walking rice fields today. The plant board inspects all seed production fields prior to harvest. About 11:00 am, she called and said the Grimmer field had passed inspection and that today was a first for her. While walking through one of the rouging lanes she stepped on a cotton mouth. The snake struck and got its fangs hung in here leather chaps, said it hit so hard it nearly knocked her down. Upon seeing that the snake was hung in her chaps, she began kicking and got the snake off her chaps as she fell down in the rice field. She said as she was rolling around on the ground the snake was pursuing her. She got up and ran out of the field outrunning the snake. Wendy said we would know where this happened in the field because she wallowed down a pretty good sized area of rice in the incident. Wendy was very lucky today. And she has a very good story to tell! At least it wasn't this snake>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
