NW Indiana | we have been raising bull calves and we have been approached about switching to heifers. what is the going rate for raising heifers for dairy? we can handle about 700 a yr. to 500lbs. and if we have to keep them longer the numbers would go down. right now we take the holstien steer to about 550lbs. what are some questions we should ask on custom raising heifers? thanks in advance.
