Subject: RE: Suggestions for yield monitor set-up

Midwest

That's right around when some of the earliest JD systems were put in combines. You MIGHT be able to find a used system somewhere or some of the parts.

Ag Leader is the standard though for older combine yield monitoring and yield kits on just about anything. Can find used monitors and GPS for the roof. Might want to buy new sensors and harnesses as it's not too often people rip them out once they're in. Integra would be a nice used monitor for you, Versa would be smaller and cheaper. You want a CAN based yield system so the oldest ones were not when AL first came out with them. If you're buying used components you want a CAN system for that combine. It would be run with any of the AL touch screen monitors like some of the ones I listed above.

What do you have for a planter or sprayer or anything else? Might be able to use the same new to you monitor and GPS in those machines to control planter clutches or run Rx maps or other stuff.
