To the OP....verify that you have tank settings on whether you're measuring actual pounds of N (82% of the gross pounds) or are accumulating gross pounds. If it is set wrong, the tanks would indicate "0" when in fact, they'd have approximately 18% remaining.
I would also assume the OP is confident of the tank float gauges indicating the correct amount? Or, that they are in fact being filled to 85%? They can be filled to more & not pop off if it's not a hot day.
This doesn't help the OP, but I use the same JD rate controller. We only sidedress, so I only pull 1425 gal tanks. If the tank is delivered to me at 82%, or 85%, or whatever, I enter that number in my JD monitor and when the monitor indicates the tank is zero, it normally is. Sometimes may be a percent or two off, but that's probably due to the guess work of entering the perccentage when the tank is still sloshing around slightly.
The OP also says he's confident he's applying the rate the monitor indicates. It is important to verify that & be confident of it. |
