Subject: RE: Feed wheat

You can feed up to 50% wheat I have fed more but you need a good buffer. The best option for wheat is to have a course grind so pariticles are fairly large. If you can mix it with milo at about a 50/50 ratio it will feed similarly to corn. The biggest issue with wheat is the speed of starch degredation (i.e. you can cause acidosis pretty easy). I would start off slow adding a little wheat at a time to get the animals adjusted to it.
Good luck
