| yea i hope we dont lose a packer too that would be bad. My buyer told me that in the last few weeks he has got a few calls from people far way from him wanting to sell hog 20 30 50 head. he wont buy them he think its contract growers trying to get there rent by sell some of the hogs... thats stealing.... bank owns them. even if there not getting paid!.
I know in this area people have been redoing contracts to stay in operation. most contract growers that understand whats going on in the industry are cooperating. some are just finding out how bad it is. I dont think these contract growers understand how much trouble could be coming for them... or that the "safe barn investment" of a few years ago is gone now.... | |
