Friend bought a centrala vac system, installed the entire vac system himself, and at 5+ horsepower it'll suck the paint off the walls. No noise or machine to move around either. He put in enough outlets there is always a suction plugin easily accessable.

The motor/canister/filter hangs in a corner of the laundry room in the basement and only needs cleaning out 1st a month.
