Mechanicville, NY | Oddly enough, SPAM is quite popular through out the world; when I lived in the ROP, the people there loved it and would buy it by the case. The only kind I can stomach is the 50% less fat as it is so full of fat, salt and who knows what that it is hard for me to look at let alone eat. But I DO eat it about once a year and I like it then - but only then. Itis still popular here in the states too in some places. During WWII my grandmother became very good at making different concoctions with it and it was called luncheon meat by her mother.
You are right when you say it is a luxury for those of us who can turn down one food in favour of another and not be forced to eat things we really don't like. We are blessed indeed! | |
