NEND | Figured a few things out with the help of my local AMS Consultant after another day in the combine.
I use Precision Planting for my planter control. My AutoPath lines are made with a “Tillage” pass when I’m planting, they start recording when I let the plater down. This results in the lines being somewhat crooked from where I let my planter down on the headland until it straightens up behind me. When AutoPath lines are created in my combine, the lines get extended. They are often crisscrossed off the headland/out of the boundary by the time they end. Turn Automation gets confused by that apparently. It worked fine for me when I selected a straight track to work off of for my main rows. In the future, I will use AutoPath for headlands, then switch to straight track for the main rows.
Using straight track will also eliminate the issue I was having with it picking an AutoPath line on the headland when the headland rows were at a steep angle to the main rows.
