Subject: Philbert---wireless from below

Eastern Ontario

Concerning the WRT54GL and WAP54G from Linksys. I called Linksys and they don't sell any outdoor antennas.  Are the standart antennas for these two devices removable and can they be replaced by other outdoor antennas?  I checked into D-link and they sell them, altho they are pricey. Are they compatible?  Suppose the Pringle can might work. Rather buy something solid that works.

In my case I'm hooking up desktops to the router and access point. Can they be hooked up by cable to the ethernet card or do I need to get a Desktop adapter card?

There sure are alot of options when it comes to wireless networks. Trying to make sense of them all is the hardest part.
