Mechanicville, NY | she is only 4 not 14. I would give her the toy and let her be happy. Be happy with her. She will then probably get bored with it in a relatively short time and ignore it OR it may well break like the reviews say. Whether it is fun or not is up to her to decide. If she does get bored with it eventually and it doesn't break - ok. If it does break then you can commiserate with her and be sad too and then draw her attention to another toy she received for her birthday - if she will do that. She may just want to be sad for awhile. She may also think that since you are Daddy you can fix everything. i would keep the receipt and write to the manufacturer if it does break quickly, They may replace it with something else or give you your money back. I have done that successfully. You ARE teaching her a lesson; you are teaching her to wait for really special things and that she can't have everything she wants right away. | |
