My wife grew up military. Her first thoughts of a farmer are hilarious. She thought I had borrowed a friends car for our first date. She was expecting poor as dirt for some reason. Her dad, being the son of a soil conservation agent knew better, just piled on and she and her mother were expecting bibs and wheat straw out the mouth.
