Subject: Re: Washing clothes

Mechanicville, NY
For grease and oil stains I use (don't laugh) Suave Clarifying Shampoo. i am so not kidding. It works better than anything I have ever tried and it is super cheap. Shampoo is full of grease cutters and this works like a charm. I just put a dab on and rub it in and let it sit for a while. Then I put the clothes or whatever in the washer and put in a slug of good old fashioned ammonia with the detergent. Ammonia is also a natural grease cutter.

I used to wash my sons camis after a drill weekend (Marine) and they would be filthy - I mean really bad and stink too. This worked great.

Lestoil also works well as does Dawn but Suave Clarifying Shampoo is the best hands down for me.
