As I think others have said, I'd be very careful about getting my heart set on a good deal on a used wire welder. I looked for over 5 years until I just gave up and bought new. Not enough difference in price to take a chance. HOWEVER- one place that you may check on used is your local tech/vocational center. Here, anyway,the welding instructor takes bids on new stuff every year. And gets some darn good deals while he's at it. The companies thinking is that if you train someone on there particular welder, thats what they'll want to own someday. Apple has been doing that in schools for years with computers. Anyway, the local tech center has a sale in the spring every year or two on some very slightly used welders. Might be worth checking out if you have such a place close.
