Subject: RE: recyle wind turbine blades

Milford, IL
Its entirely possible that the newest turbines can do better than 3MW. I talked to a young man a few years ago at a July 4th cookout that was a full time wind tower service man, and its possible that Im remembering the detials of that conversation wrong.

And Ive got not problem with burning used blades, seems silly to bury them. This past Saturday the 18th I drove by one of the wind farms in Benton county Indiana on my way to the big city. One of the towers had a single blade remaining and the other two blades had broken off, the fiberglass stubs of the other two wings were still up in the air attached to the generator head. Would be interesting if an agtalker could fill us in on the details of that accident, hope nobody got hurt.
