Southern MN | I plant with RTK, so I used the planter lines to drive the combine. I thought it actually did a really good job in the corn. We have only a few side hills, and that's the only place it needed an occasional bump (planter drift). The only thing was when turning around, unless you were going straight already, when you hit the engage button, it would move the snouts around too much to try and let it turn into the row on it's own. Perhaps I can change some of the setting to help that, but I just haven't yet at this point. If I had wider headlands, I think it would have been ok. The RTK setup works plenty good enough for me to not need the Headsight feelers. | |
