| The AutoTrac activation is usually in the display when it's purchased. Some may not, so you'll just have to check the details of the sale. It can be purchased after the fact for about $3000 from your dealer.
The 2630 is not open station capable, so the 4640 is probably your best bet there. Wouldn't want to leave a 2630 out and get rained on!
RTK, it depends. This is where getting an SF6000 would be of benefit over a 3000. The older 3000 has SF2 fallback, but it gets glitchy at times, and will just leave you with no signal unless you shut the RTK off. Easy enough to do, but a hassle when it happens because it would disengage your steering. If you weren't paying attention or didn't hear the tone, it could steer right off your row pretty fast. The SF6000 will go into an RTK-Extend fallback mode for up to 14 days. Pretty slick really! However, it won't go back to SF1 automatically. You can manually switch it though.
But, is your friend's RTK a Deere signal? If it's RTCM or anything other than Deere, then you can't use it. That's where a Agra-GPS may come in handy as it can read RTCM, but I can't go further into that one as I have no experience there.
